Morning Fog

Morning Fog

you wrap it up like a present

that I grab from the counter

as I scurry out the door and slip on the dewy grass

the sausage is still warm and

it dampens the paper towel with steam and grease

I cut through the fog on the highway, the car lights

flashing and flashing
